Since the ranger started life as a 5 spd I didn't have to worry about headaches w/ pedals, etc. PM or email me for info on this - the kit was like $215. Also, I got a kit online for converting the ranger (hydraulic clutch) to use the T-5. I got the flywheel off a 5.0, but 5.0's are not zero balanced, so I had to get the flywheel machined to be zero balanced. Therefore you need the mustang (or f-150 or whatever) flywheel and clutch. The bellhousing I got w/ it was a lot smaller than the SC one because the mustangs had only a 10" clutch not 11 like the SC's. 1st I got my T-5 out of an 89 5.0 mustang.

It was over a year ago, but here are some of the things I remember having encountered that caused trouble. i'll do that as soon as possible, it looks like it's gonna be a chore as the motor is cramped in there so tight.I put a T-5 behind the SC motor - remember though this is in the ranger! And I put it in in place of the WEAK AOD - I have never seen a SC 5 spd in real life. it runs fine besides the obvious need for plugs and wires.

other than that, i dont know what else to check. I dont know why im still turning a slower speed then even a stock one, mine is an AUTO, and it does need plugs and wires pretty badly, so maybe when i get those changed it will make a difference. Specs say they should do 0-60 in 7.4, for the manual tranny birds. Just thought i would share as i know there's a few other ATOTers who have super coupes. Sucks though, cant drive it now until i replace the upper rad hose. not to bad for nothing but exhaust and a pulley, running at 15psi right now according to my cheapo boost gauge. The 0-60 timed at a little under 8.5 seconds. 2.5" straight through mandrel bent piping from the headers back, no cats, no mufflers.sounds pretty wicked, quieter than i thought it would be until you go WOT, then it's loud as hell but sounds nice, has a nice deep throaty rumble.sound clips soon hopefully if i can find the usb cord for my camera.
